Cracking the Client Attraction Code : Master Your Inner Game, Attract Your Ideal Clients, Create Infinite Abundance and Prosperity

Description

THIS BOOK CAN SAVE YOU HUNDREDS OF HOURS AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS! This book will change the way you think about your business, from how you approach new clients to how you talk to yourself about you and your business. Carla McNeil and Nilofer invited 13 heart-centered, successful marketers to the Best Client Seminar to present their stories, strategies and best practices. They invited folks whose businesses focus on spirituality and wellness such as Amethyst Wyldfyre, the Empress of Empowerment to Jeff Herring, the King of Article Marketing, an expert at content creation and other marketing strategies. Carla and Nilofer asked each presenter one question: What is the unique transformation you want to offer our audience? Although the answers vary wildly depending on the personalities and expertise of the individual presenters, all agree on three factors. They are each explained in the book. You've seen books like this before and wonder... Will each author really reveal his or her secrets? Will there truly be something I can use to create a more lucrative business? Did Gary Douglas really reveal what I need to ask to have my business grow exponentially? PJ VanHulle has an unusual practice called "zing clunk test," will it work for me? Do I struggle with the question "Can I be a heart-centred person and a successful entrepreneur?" Or is this a contradiction? Does Craig Duswalt really show me how I can write a book myself? Will Tracey Fieber's strategy to "Inspire clients to say yes," really work for me? Many heart-centred entrepreneurs don't charge enough for their products and services to break even. Give too much away. Feel uncomfortable marketing and selling. Believe that being heart-centred is all about loving and giving. And making money is just about "taking." All of these business owners are here to tell you that's just not true! ABOUT THE AUTHORS This book began with the dream of Carla McNeil and Nilofer Safdar to prove that heart-centred marketing isn't a contradiction. And to show both concrete marketing strategies and what they call the "inner game"-those limiting beliefs that keep you stuck. They started talking to each other via social media outside the course. They just had this connection between them and spent almost a year together where they did mastermind calls with each other, supporting each other through their business and that was really fun. There was always this idea to create an event together. Nilofer had been creating tele-summits for about 3 years. She loved doing tele-summits, learned a lot and did a great job. Creating a tele-summit with together with Carla was a natural extension of that experience. Nilofer had been learning marketing, and really wanted to create a tele-summit on sales and marketing. It was challenging to decide what they were going to do together because when they first met; through the online course we had very different areas of expertise and business models. Carla was just starting to build a social media business and Nilofer was developing her business in healing, motivation, self-help and empowerment. In the beginning it appeared to be a real challenge to connect the dots between what they could do together. The tele summit and resulting book brought it all together.

Andrew Williams: Philosophy in the Age of Science and Capital

Philosophy in the Age of Science and Capital

Description

Science and capitalism are two dominant forces of contemporary society. Science has effectively taken control of the material world whilst capitalism has effectively structured it. Capitalism marches across the globe reducing culture to consumption, whilst science slowly excludes metaphysics and creativity from all constructive dialogue. And philosophy, faced by such challenges, has crumbled, has proved itself incapable of coherent critique or alternative visions. The purpose of this book is to begin the work of recasting philosophy to face these challenges. Based on an original synthesis of the work of Marx and Bergson, the key theorists of capitalism and creativity, the book presents an analysis of contemporary science and capital.

Michael Palin: Sahara

Sahara

Description

Michael Palin's superb No. 1 bestseller about his incredible voyage across the Sahara. Michael Palin's epic voyages have seen him circumnavigate the globe, travel from the North to the South Pole and circle the countries of the Pacific Ocean, but this was perhaps the greatest challenge yet: to cross the vast and merciless Sahara desert. As the journey unfolds, the Sahara reveals not the emptiness of endless sand dunes, but a huge and diverse range of cultures and landscapes and a long history of commerce and conquest stretching from the time of the ancient Egyptians to the oil-rich Islamic republics of today. On his way, he encounters dangers such as camel stew, being run over by the Paris-Dakar rally and Dakar nightlife, as well as returning to the original spot where THE LIFE OF BRIAN was filmed.

The Open Window The financial crisis has radically undermined the very concept of unilateral and multilateral economico-political hegemony, and Marazzi discusses efforts toward a new geomonetary order that have emerged around the globe in response. Offering a radically new understanding of the current stage of international economics as well as crucial post-Marxist guidance for confronting capitalism in its newest form, The Violence of Financial Capitalism is a valuable addition to the contemporary arsenal of postfordist thought. This edition includes the glossary of the esoteric neolanguage of financial capitalism-"Words in Crisis," from "AAA" to "toxic asset"-written for the first English-language edition, and offers a new afterword by Marazzi. Practical advice from two NOLS instructors on all aspects of backcountry skiing and winter Sahara free epub camping. As skiers venture farther from lift-served front country, they need to understand and avoid hazards such as avalanches and extreme cold. This book teaches skiers how to choose the right equipment, build winter shelters, stay safe, and have fun while minimizing their impact on the wilderness. Hundreds of entertaining but very practical illustrations by renowned illustrator Mike Clelland. Completely revised, updated, and even better than ever!

Tony Harrison: Selected Poems

Selected Poems

Description

A revised edition of Tony Harrison's award-winning Selected Poems This indispensable new selection of Tony Harrison's poems includes over sixty poems from his famous sonnet sequence The School of Eloquence and the remarkable long poem 'v.', a meditation in a vandalized Leeds graveyard which caused enormous controversy when it was broadcast on Channel 4 in 1987 and is now regarded as one of the key poems of the late twentieth century. This substantially revised and updated edition now also features a generous selection of Harrison's most recent work, including the acclaimed poems he wrote for the Guardian on the Gulf War and then from the front line in the Bosnian War which won him the Wilfred Owen Award for Poetry in 2007. Selected Poems is a collection to be savoured by fans of Carol Ann Duffy, Seamus Heaney, Simon Armitage and Sophie Hannah. 'A voracious appetite for language. Brilliant, passionate, outrageous, abrasive, but also, as in the family sonnets, immeasurably tender' Harold Pinter 'In the front rank of contemporary British poets. Harrison's range is exhilarating, his clarity and technical mastery a sharp pleasure' Melvyn Bragg 'The poem "v." is the most outstanding social poem of the last twenty-five years. Seldom has a British poem of such personal intensity had such universal range' Martin Booth 'Poems written in a style which I feel I have all my life been waiting for' Stephen Spender 'A poet of great technical accomplishment whose work insists that it is speech rather than page-bound silence' Sean O'Brien, The Oxford Companion to Twentieth-Century Poetry

Anatomy and Physiology: An Integrative Approach

Description

The McKinley/O'Loughlin/Bidle: "Anatomy & Physiology: An Integrative Approach" text brings multiple elements of the study of A&P together in ways that maximize understanding. Text discussions provide structural details in the context of their functional significance to integrate coverage of anatomy and physiology in each chapter. Chapters emphasize the interdependence of body systems by weaving prior coverage of one system into textual explanations of how other systems work. These system relationships are also covered in "Integrate: Concept Connection" boxes. All figures are carefully designed to support the text narrative, and carry brief textual explanations to make figures self-contained study tools. Special "Concept Overview" figures in each chapter tie together multi-faceted concepts in 1- or 2-page visual summaries. Applications are presented in "Integrate: Clinical View" boxes to apply chapter content using clinical examples that show students what can go wrong in the body, to help crystallize understanding of the "norm;" clinical scenarios are also used in "What Do You Think?", "Can You Apply What You've Learned?", and "Can You Synthesize What You've Learned?" question sets; and career opportunities pursued by students studying A&P are highlighted at the beginning of each chapter. Everyday analogies and practical advice for remembering material are presented in "Integrate: Learning Strategy" boxes. Chapters end with a summary of media tools available to help learn each chapter's content.

Henry Mayhew: London Labour and the London Poor

London Labour and the London Poor

Description

London Labour and the London Poor is an extraordinary work of investigative journalism, a work of literature, and a groundbreaking work of sociology. It originated in a series of articles for a London newspaper and grew into a massive record of the daily life of Victorian London's underclass. Mayhew conducted hundreds of interviews with the city's street traders, entertainers, thieves and beggars which revealed that the 'two nations' of rich and poor were much closer than many people thought. By turns alarming, touching, and funny, the pages of London Labour and the London Poor exposed a previously hidden world to view. The first-hand accounts of costermongers and street-sellers, of sewer-scavenger and chimney-sweep, are intimate and detailed and provide an unprecedented insight into their day-to-day struggle for survival. Combined with Mayhew's obsessive data gathering, these stories have an immediacy that owes much to his sympathetic understanding and highly effective literary style. In its imaginative power the work can justly be regarded as the greatest Victorian novel never written. This new selection offers a cross-section of the original volumes and their evocative illustrations, and includes among other features an illuminating introduction to Henry Mayhew and the genesis and influence of his work.

Gwyn Morgan: 69 AD: The Year of Four Emperors

69 AD: The Year of Four Emperors

Description

The Year of Four Emperors, so the ancient sources assure us, was one of the most chaotic, violent and frightening periods in all Roman history: a time of assassinations and civil wars, of armies so out of control that they had no qualms about occupying the city of Rome, and of ambitious men who seized power only to lose it, one after another. In 69 AD, Gwyn Morgan offers a fresh look at this period, based on two considerations to which insufficient attention has been paid in the past. First, that we need to unravel rather than cherry-pick between the conflicting accounts of Tacitus, Plutarch and Suetonius, our three main sources of information. And second, that the role of the armies, as distinct from that of their commanders, has too often been exaggerated. The result is a remarkably accurate and insightful narrative history, filled with colorful portraits of the leading participants and new insights into the nature of the Roman military Morgan ranges from the suicide of Nero in June 68 to the triumph of Vespasian in December 69. In between, three other emperors hold power. We meet Galba, old, tightfisted and conservative, who was declared emperor in June 68 and assassinated in January 69. Otho, once Nero's boon companion, who was responsible for murdering Galba, seized power in a coup in Rome in January 69 and, to everybody's surprise, committed suicide three months later in a vain attempt to end the civil wars. Vitellius, as indolent as he was extravagant, who was put forward by two ambitious lieutenants, recognized by the senate in Rome once they heard of Otho's death in April, and cut down by Vespasian's partisans in the last days of December. And then there is Vespasian, the candidate who looked least likely to succeed, but (according to Tacitus) was still the first to be improved by becoming emperor. A strikingly vivid account of ancient Rome, 69 AD is an original and compelling account of one of the best known but perhaps least understood periods in all Roman history.

Barbara Cleverly: Enter Pale Death

Enter Pale Death

Description

One morning before dawn in the stables of her country estate, Lady Truelove meets a violent death in an encounter with a dangerous horse. Classified as death by misadventure, this appears a gruesome accident. But Scotland Yard Detective Joe Sandilands suspects foul play a misgiving he is struggling to separate from his personal grievances toward Sir James Truelove, who is Lady Truelove s widower and the influential academic patron of Dorcas Joliffe, whom Joe one day hopes to marry. Joe enlists old friend and former constable Lily Wentworth to trail James, and finds an ally in a fellow police officer familiar with the Truelove estate. But as the investigation yields surprising secrets about one of England s most powerful families, Joe discovers how little he knows about not only the gilded lives of the moneyed, but also his relationship with Dorcas. Is Joe prepared to risk a future with the girl he loves to uncover the truth behind Lady Truelove s death? "From the Hardcover edition.""

William Golding was born in 1911 and educated at his local grammar school and Brasenose College, Oxford. He published a volume of poems in 1934 and during the war served Enter Pale Death free download pdf in the Royal Navy. Afterwards he returned to being a schoolmaster in Salisbury. "Lord of the Flies", his first novel, was an immediate success, and was followed by a series of remarkable novels, including "The Inheritors", "Pincher Martin", and "The Spire". He won the Booker Prize for "Rites of Passage" in 1980, was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1983, and was knighted in 1988. He died in 1993. From Nobel Prize-winning economist and best-selling author Joseph Sitglitz, author of Globalization and Its Discontents, this is the essential, must-read guide to the future of Europe. Solidarity and prosperity fostered by economic integration: this principle has underpinned the European project from the start, and the establishment of a common currency was supposed to be its most audacious and tangible achievement. Since 2008, however, the European Union has ricocheted between stagnation and crisis. The inability of the eurozone to match the recovery in the USA and UK has exposed its governing structures, institutions and policies as dysfunctional and called into question the viability of a common currency shared by such different economies as Germany and Greece. Designed to bring the European Union closer together, the euro has actually done the opposite: after nearly a decade without growth, unity has been replaced with dissent and enlargements with prospective exits.

Julian Barnes: Through the Window

Through the Window

Description

From the Man Booker Prize-winning author of "The Sense of an Ending" and one of Britain's greatest writers: a brilliant collection of essays on the books and authors that have meant the most to him throughout his illustrious career. In these seventeen essays (plus a short story and a special preface, "A Life with Books"), Julian Barnes examines the British, French and American writers who have shaped his writing, as well as the cross-currents and overlappings of their different cultures. From the deceptiveness of Penelope Fitzgerald to the directness of Hemingway, from Kipling's view of France to the French view of Kipling, from the many translations of "Madame Bovary" to the fabulations of Ford Madox Ford, from the National Treasure status of George Orwell to the despair of Michel Houellebecq, Julian Barnes considers what fiction is, and what it can do. As he writes, "Novels tell us the most truth about life: what it is, how we live it, what it might be for, how we enjoy and value it, and how we lose it."

Our leaders swear to uphold it, our military to defend it. It is the blueprint for the shape and function of government itself and what defines Americans as Americans. But how many of us truly know our Constitution? "The United States Constitution: A Graphic Adaptation "uses the art of illustrated storytelling to breathe life into our nation's cornerstone principles. Simply put, it is the most enjoyable and groundbreaking way to read the governing document of the United States. Spirited and visually witty, it roves article by article, Through the Window free pdf amendment by amendment, to get at the meaning, background, and enduring relevance of the law of the land. What revolutionary ideas made the Constitution's authors dare to cast off centuries of rule by kings and queens? Why do we have an electoral college rather than a popular vote for president and vice president? How did a document that once sanctioned slavery, denied voting rights to women, and turned a blind eye to state governments running roughshod over the liberties of minorities transform into a bulwark of protection for all? "The United States Constitution "answers all of these questions. Sure to surprise, challenge, and provoke, it is hands down the most memorable introduction to America's founding document.

Diana Cohn,Paul Mirocha: Mr. Goethe's Garden

Mr. Goethe's Garden

Description

"Mr. Goethe s Garden" tells the story of a unique friendship between an inquisitive young girl, Irena, and her neighbor the elderly, world-famous playwright, artist and natural scientist, Johann von Goethe. Irena visits Mr. Goethe in his well-tended garden where he teaches her to draw and to observe the world of nature in a special way. Set in the 1830s, this book was inspired by Goethe s life and his botanical treatise "The Metamorphosis of the Plant." Exquisitely sensitive illustrations and elegant text reveal the intricate wonders of the plant kingdom. As the bonds of friendship deepen between Irena and her wise neighbor, she experiences a new way of seeing the natural cycle of the plant from seed to flower to fruit and to seed again. Like friends, plants tell you their secrets only when they know you care. Just practice listening with your eyes, and one day when you least expect it, you will see with your heart and be swept up into nature s dance. An informative afterword describes the life of Goethe and his many accomplishments. (Ages 6 9) Click on the links below to view images from "Mr. Goethe's Garden!""

Chemero then looks at some traditional philosophical problems (reductionism, epistemological skepticism, metaphysical realism, consciousness) through the lens of radical embodied cognitive science and concludes that the comparative ease with which it resolves these problems, combined with its empirical promise, makes this approach to cognitive science a rewarding one. "Jerry Fodor is my favorite philosopher," Chemero writes in his preface, adding, "I think that Jerry Fodor is wrong about nearly everything." Mr. Goethe's Garden free ebook With this book, Chemero explains nonrepresentational, dynamical, ecological cognitive science as clearly and as rigorously as Jerry Fodor explained computational cognitive science in his classic work The Language of Thought. From the author of MIDDLEMARCH and SILAS MARNER, a story of frustrated intelligence and longing, featuring the intelligent Maggie, who yearns to be loved, and her brother Tom, who is forced to study. When Maggie is cast out by Tom, she is ostracized by society, and must face the consequences of renunciation.

Robin Sloan: Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore

Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore

Description

A Winner of the Alex Award, a finalist for the "Los Angeles Times" Book Prize for First Fiction, named a Best Book of the Year by NPR, "Los Angeles Times," and "San Francisco Chronicle" "" The Great Recession has shuffled Clay Jannon away from life as a San Francisco web-design drone and into the aisles of Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore. But after a few days on the job, Clay discovers that the store is more curious than either its name or its gnomic owner might suggest. The customers are few, and they never seem to buy anything instead, they "check out" large, obscure volumes from strange corners of the store. Suspicious, Clay engineers an analysis of the clientele's behavior, seeking help from his variously talented friends. But when they bring their findings to Mr. Penumbra, they discover the bookstore's secrets extend far beyond its walls. Rendered with irresistible brio and dazzling intelligence, Robin Sloan's "Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore" is exactly what it sounds like: an establishment you have to enter and will never want to leave."
